South Africa’s fashion scene is set to sparkle like never before with an exclusive High Fashion Red Carpet Event taking place on 13 December 2025 in Johannesburg. This highly anticipated occasion will celebrate style, creativity, and excellence while spotlighting the powerful intersection of fashion, mentorship, and youth empowerment.

At the heart of this glamorous affair is the dynamic Lion Fashion House, a proudly African brand dedicated to elegant, niche collections. From women’s wear and sportswear to workwear and Arabian-inspired garments, their designs are crafted with attention to detail, available in a variety of colors, fabrics, and styles.

Honoring Icons & Trailblazers in Fashion

Among the stars being celebrated is Michelle Mikha Ella Tau, crowned Face of Lesotho 2017 and Runner-up at the Face of Beauty International 2017 in India. Her poise and dedication to the industry continue to inspire aspiring models across the continent.

Equally noteworthy is Relebogile Tau, a fashion designer whose talent has earned her a place among Africa’s most admired creatives. Her designs have illuminated prestigious runways such as the Bloom’s Flex Market, Ultimate Fashion Show (March 2024), and the North-South Sotho Fashion Show (October 2022). Her work has also been showcased at the Kasi Fashion Expo (May 2022) and the Morena Moshoeshoe Fashion Fair & Expo (March 2024).

In a groundbreaking achievement, Relebogile Tau was recently appointed National Director of the Southern Africa Fashion Awards in April 2025—a title that underscores her influence and leadership in African fashion.

This year, Lion Fashion House expands its reach nationally with pop-up stores and the launch of a new clothing line: Lioness Queen Clothing. The brand’s latest collection draws inspiration from traditional Xhosa aesthetics and modern African elegance, blending heritage with contemporary trends.

As part of this movement, a national brand photo shoot will take place in Teya-Teyaneng, Lesotho, offering upcoming talents the opportunity to become the Face of the Brand.

Fashion with a Purpose

In partnership with the RelaTau Foundation, the event extends beyond glamour. With a strong commitment to youth empowerment, the foundation uses fashion as a tool to uplift the next generation. Young boys and girls aged 3 to 17 will walk the runway, showcasing locally made designs and expressing their confidence on stage.
The foundation also promotes traditional Sotho dances, ensuring cultural preservation and pride remain core elements of the event.
